A tactile, wheel-thrown stoneware mug combining Throw to Fire’s signature curved form with a delicate hand-drawn line pattern.

Each line is drawn freehand using an underglaze pencil, creating subtle variations in rhythm and mark-making that make every mug individual. Made in chalk stoneware and finished with a transparent gloss glaze, the restrained monochrome pattern allows both the form and evidence of the maker’s hand to come through.

The small finger-sized handle gives a secure hold while leaving the curved body of the mug comfortably cradled in the hand.

    The line pattern is drawn individually onto each mug using an underglaze pencil. Because every line is applied freehand, the pattern varies naturally from piece to piece, making each mug individual.

    A transparent gloss glaze creates a smooth finished surface while allowing the character of the chalk clay and hand-drawn marks to remain clearly visible.
