We love objects that bring good design and thoughtful making into the rituals of everyday life, and this mug does exactly that.
Its softly curved form feels wonderfully tactile in the hand, while the freehand linework gives each piece an individual character without becoming overly decorative. Quiet, useful and beautifully made – precisely the sort of everyday object we want to live with.

Wheel-thrown by hand in Bex’s Brighton studio using chalk stoneware clay.
The line pattern is drawn individually onto each mug using an underglaze pencil. Because every line is applied freehand, the pattern varies naturally from piece to piece, making each mug individual.
A transparent gloss glaze creates a smooth finished surface while allowing the character of the chalk clay and hand-drawn marks to remain clearly visible.
