We may process personal information to:
Fulfil our contract with you
This includes:
processing and fulfilling orders;
taking and administering payment;
communicating about your order;
arranging manufacture or procurement;
arranging delivery;
processing returns, refunds and complaints; and
providing customer service.
Comply with legal obligations
We may retain and use information where reasonably necessary to comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, fraud-prevention or other legal requirements.
Pursue legitimate business interests
Where appropriate and provided your interests and rights do not override them, we may use information to:
operate and secure the website;
administer our business;
prevent fraud and misuse;
understand how our business and website are performing;
improve our collection, services and customer experience; and
establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
With your consent
Where consent is required, we may use information for activities such as:
email marketing;
non-essential analytics cookies; and
advertising or marketing technologies.
You may withdraw consent at any time, although this will not affect processing which was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
6. Marketing
We will not add you to a general marketing list simply because you browse our website.
Where you actively subscribe to our newsletter or other marketing communications, we may send occasional news, product launches, maker stories, events and other information concerning fōrm&blōm.
Every marketing email will provide a method of unsubscribing.
We may also contact existing customers about similar products or services where applicable law permits us to do so and where the appropriate requirements have been satisfied.
You can ask us to stop marketing communications at any time.
7. Who we may share information with
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information where reasonably necessary with trusted service providers involved in operating our business, which may include:

Squarespace Payments and its underlying payment-processing partners;
PayPal;
Klarna or Clearpay where selected by the customer;
makers, manufacturers or suppliers where information is necessary to fulfil a specific order;
couriers, specialist furniture carriers and other delivery providers;
Google, where analytics or advertising services are enabled and appropriate consent has been obtained;
Squarespace Email Campaigns if we use it for newsletters;
professional advisers such as accountants, lawyers or insurers where necessary; and
regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where disclosure is legally required.
We aim to share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
8. Makers & delivery partners
Because fōrm&blōm represents independent makers and specialist manufacturers, it may occasionally be necessary to provide a maker or delivery partner with information such as your name, delivery address, telephone number and details of the product ordered.
We only do this where reasonably necessary to manufacture, administer or deliver your order.
9. International data transfers
Some technology and service providers used by our website may process or store information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we expect appropriate legal safeguards to be used where required by applicable data-protection law.
10. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including where information must be retained for legal, tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.
Order and transaction records may therefore be retained for several years where necessary to meet legal and accounting obligations.
Marketing information is normally retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent or the information is no longer reasonably required.
Where information is no longer required, we aim to delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.
11. Security
We use established third-party platforms and service providers to operate the website and payments and take reasonable organisational and technical steps to safeguard personal information.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, however.
12. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights including the right to:
ask for access to personal information we hold about you;
ask us to correct inaccurate information;

ask us to restrict certain processing;
object to certain processing;
receive certain information in a portable format;
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and

Not every right applies in every circumstance, and legal obligations may sometimes require us to retain information despite a request for deletion.
To exercise a right, contact us at studio@formblom.co.uk.
13. Cookies & similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on or accessed from your device when you use a website.
Some cookies are necessary for our website and online store to function. Others help us understand how the website is used or support optional functionality, analytics and marketing.
We use, or may use, the following categories.
Necessary cookies
These are required for functions such as security, navigation, checkout, shopping basket functionality, customer preferences and other essential website operations.
Because these technologies are necessary for the service requested by the visitor, they may not require consent in the same way as non-essential cookies.
Analytics & performance cookies
Squarespace may use analytics and performance technologies to help us understand matters such as site traffic, popular pages and how visitors interact with our website.
Where enabled, we may also use Google Analytics for similar purposes.
Where consent is legally required, these technologies will be restricted unless and until the appropriate consent has been provided.
Functional cookies
These may allow the website or integrated services to remember choices or provide enhanced functionality.
Whether these are used will depend on the features enabled on our website.
Advertising & marketing technologies
We may use Google advertising technologies in future to understand campaign performance or provide relevant advertising.
Where consent is required, advertising or marketing technologies will not be used unless the appropriate consent has been provided.
We do not currently intentionally use Meta/Facebook Pixel.
If our use of advertising technologies changes materially, we will update this policy and our consent configuration as appropriate.
14. Squarespace
Our website is hosted by Squarespace.
Squarespace may process information and place cookies or similar technologies in order to provide website, commerce, security, analytics and other functionality.
The precise technologies used can change according to Squarespace services and features enabled on the website.
15. Google services
We may use Google services including Google Analytics, Search Console, Merchant Center and, where activated, Google advertising services.
Not all Google services place cookies on visitors' devices.
Where a Google service involves non-essential cookies or similar tracking that requires consent, we aim to operate it subject to the choices made through our cookie controls.
16. Managing your cookie preferences
When you first visit our website, you may be given the opportunity to:
Accept all non-essential cookies;
Decline all non-essential cookies; or
Manage cookies and make more detailed choices.
You can change or withdraw your choices later using the Manage Cookies link available on our website.
Blocking certain optional technologies may affect some non-essential website features, but refusing non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the core functions of the website or purchasing from us.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
17. Specific cookies
The particular cookies used by the website can depend on the Squarespace features and third-party services currently enabled.
We periodically review our website configuration and this policy so that the information we provide remains reasonably accurate.
Where our cookie-management interface provides a current cookie list or categorisation, that information should be read together with this policy.
18. Third-party websites
Our website may link to websites operated by makers, payment providers, social-media platforms and other organisations.
Those organisations operate under their own privacy and cookie policies, and we are not responsible for their independent processing of personal information.
19. Children
Our products and services are not directed specifically at children and we do not knowingly seek to collect children's personal information through our website.
20. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy & Cookies Policy where our website, services, suppliers, technology or legal obligations change.
The latest version will be published on this page and the date above will be updated where appropriate.
