Returns & Refunds
We hope you will love everything you choose from fōrm&blōm. Our collection brings together furniture, objects and floral designs made with care, often by independent makers and specialist workshops.
We understand, however, that occasionally something may not be quite right. Our returns policy is set out below and does not affect your statutory rights.
Online purchases
For most products purchased online, you may change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.
Please let us know that you wish to return an item within 14 days of delivery. You then have a further 14 days in which to return the item to us.
To arrange a return, please contact us at studio@formblom.co.uk, quoting your order number and the item you wish to return. We will confirm the return arrangements with you.
Items should be returned complete and in their original condition, with all components, instructions and, wherever possible, their original packaging.
You may inspect an item as you reasonably would in a studio or showroom. Where handling beyond this has reduced the value of the item, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund in accordance with your statutory rights.
Return costs
Unless an item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, the cost and responsibility for returning it rests with the customer.
For smaller items, we recommend using an insured and tracked service.
Furniture, rugs and other large or fragile pieces may require collection by a specialist carrier. We can arrange this for you where possible and will confirm the cost before collection. Alternatively, you may arrange an appropriate insured return yourself by prior agreement with us.
Please contact us before returning any item so that we can ensure it reaches the correct destination safely.
Refunds
Once a returned item has been received and checked, we will process your refund to the original method of payment.
Where applicable, we will also refund the standard outbound delivery charge paid when the order was placed. Additional costs resulting from an enhanced or premium delivery service are not refundable beyond the cost of our standard delivery service.
Refunds will be made within the applicable statutory period.
Made-to-order, bespoke & personalised pieces
Much of the furniture and many of the rugs in our collection are produced individually by specialist makers and workshops.
Where a product is made specifically to your requirements, clearly personalised or specially commissioned in a specification chosen for you, it cannot normally be cancelled once manufacture has commenced and cannot be returned simply because you have changed your mind.
This may include, for example, furniture or rugs made to a bespoke size, specification or configuration; specially commissioned finishes; upholstery made in a fabric selected or supplied for your order; or other products individually altered or manufactured to your requirements.
Where this applies, we will make this clear on the product page or during the ordering process before you purchase.
We strongly encourage you to check all dimensions, finishes, materials, colours and access requirements before placing such an order. Where available, we are happy to help with samples and product information before you commit.
Where a product is described as made-to-order but is nevertheless a standard product rather than one made to your individual specification, your statutory cancellation rights may still apply.
None of the above affects your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
Changes to bespoke orders
If you change your mind shortly after placing a bespoke or personalised order, please contact us immediately.
Where production has not yet commenced or our maker is able to accept a change or cancellation without cost, we will always try to accommodate your request.
Once manufacture or procurement specifically for your order has begun, changes or cancellation may no longer be possible.
Furniture, rugs & access
Before ordering larger pieces, please check that the item is suitable for its intended location and can be safely delivered through doors, corridors, staircases, lifts and other access points.
We are very happy to help you consider dimensions and access before ordering.
Where an item cannot be delivered because adequate access has not been provided or dimensions have not been checked, additional delivery, storage or return costs may be payable by the customer.
Natural materials & handmade products
Many of the pieces we sell are handmade and use natural materials including timber, stone, leather, wool and ceramics.
Variations in grain, colour, texture, markings, dimensions and finish are part of the character of these materials and the making process. Reasonable natural variation is not considered a fault.
Where you are uncertain about a material or finish, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to provide further information or samples where available.
Flowers & other perishable goods
Fresh flowers, plants and other goods liable to deteriorate rapidly are perishable and cannot normally be returned or cancelled under the standard change-of-mind provisions once supplied.
Because our floral designs are created using seasonal materials, individual stems, colours and varieties may vary from the images shown. Where substitutions are necessary, we will aim to preserve the character, quality and value of the arrangement ordered.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the goods supplied are faulty, damaged or not as described.
If there is a problem with a floral delivery, please contact us as soon as possible after receipt, preferably with photographs, so that we can resolve it promptly.
Damaged, faulty or incorrect items
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, please contact us promptly at studio@formblom.co.uk, ideally including your order number and photographs showing the issue and packaging.
We will work with you to put things right. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve repair, replacement, collection, exchange or refund.
Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are unaffected by this policy.
Purchases made in our studio-store
The statutory right to change your mind that applies to many online purchases does not generally apply to purchases made in person at our studio-store.
If you have changed your mind about an in-store purchase, please speak to us and we will always consider whether we can help. This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
Questions before ordering
For furniture, rugs and other significant purchases, we encourage you to contact us before ordering if you have any questions about dimensions, materials, finishes, delivery or suitability.
We would much rather help you make the right choice in the first place.
