A beautifully understated, one-of-a-kind ceramic vase, wheel-thrown by hand in stone-coloured clay. Its low, generous form and quiet natural tone give the Stone Vase a distinctly sculptural presence.

The exterior is deliberately left unglazed, retaining the tactile character of the clay, while a transparent gloss-glazed interior provides a subtle contrast and makes the vase fully watertight.

Beautiful with a loose arrangement of seasonal stems, or simply as an object in its own right.

  • We were drawn to the Stone Vase for its beautifully simple form and the quiet, tactile quality of its unglazed clay.

    It has the balance we look for in the objects we bring to fōrm&blōm: useful but sculptural, understated but full of character. The natural stone colour allows the material and making to take centre stage, while its low, generous proportions make it particularly lovely for informal arrangements of seasonal flowers.

    Rather than applying colour through a conventional surface glaze, Throw to Fire works with coloured clays mixed by hand, integrating the colour throughout the ceramic form.

    The exterior of the Stone Vase is left unglazed to retain the natural, tactile character of the clay. The interior is finished with a transparent gloss glaze, providing a subtle contrast and making the vase fully watertight.

    Each piece is individually handmade and this Stone Vase is one of a kind.
