The Garden One

The Garden One is about variety, movement and natural abundance. Soft blush and cream are punctuated by deeper violet and fresh green, bringing together contrasting flower forms in a composition that feels gathered rather than overly arranged.

Drawing on our architectural background, we work with height, rhythm, density and negative space, allowing individual stems to extend beyond the main body of the bouquet and retain their natural character.

The exact flowers will change throughout the year. Rather than prescribing individual varieties, we select the best stems available to achieve the varied palette, loose structure and garden-like character of the composition.

Your bouquet will therefore be recognisably The Garden One, but it will also be uniquely yours.

Our bouquet sizes describe the overall scale, generosity and presence of the composition, rather than a prescribed number of stems.

The Medium One
A beautifully considered bouquet at a more modest scale, retaining the character, palette and movement of the original composition.

The Large One
Our signature size and approximately the scale pictured. Generous, sculptural and designed to make an impression without feeling excessive.

The Luxurious One
The fullest expression of the composition, using additional focal and textural stems to create greater scale, depth and generosity.

As flowers are natural materials, individual stems, flower heads and proportions vary throughout the seasons. We embrace these differences rather than designing to a fixed stem count.

The Garden One celebrates the less controlled character of flowers — different forms, heights and colours brought together without forcing them into uniformity.

Blush and cream provide a softer ground, while violet, pink and fresh green introduce contrast and depth. Taller stems break through the outline and smaller textural elements occupy the spaces between, giving the bouquet the feeling of something still growing.

The result is loose, generous and deliberately imperfect — our interpretation of the abundance and informality of a garden rather than a conventional florist's arrangement.

For The Garden One, we look for a varied mix of flowers, foliage and textural stems with naturally expressive forms — allowing the particular colours, varieties and balance of the composition to evolve with the garden and growing seasons.

We design to a palette and composition rather than a fixed flower recipe.

Flowers are seasonal materials, and we believe this should be celebrated rather than designed out. The varieties used in your bouquet will therefore change according to the time of year, growing conditions, quality and availability.

We favour seasonal and British-grown flowers and foliage wherever possible, choosing stems for their quality, character and suitability for the composition. British flowers can naturally be less uniform and more variable than flowers produced for large-scale international supply; for us, their movement, irregularity and connection to a particular place and moment are part of their appeal.

Where the right British-grown stem is not available, we supplement thoughtfully with imported flowers rather than compromising the overall composition.

For us, conscious floristry begins with being open about where our flowers come from and choosing thoughtfully according to season, quality and availability.

As a result, your bouquet will not be an exact reproduction of the photograph. We will instead preserve its overall colour palette, character, texture, balance and value, creating an individual composition from what is naturally at its best.

Every fōrm&blōm bouquet is individually designed, composed and hand-tied in our Oakham studio in Rutland.

Our floristry sits naturally alongside the furniture, objects and interiors we curate: all are concerned with material, craftsmanship, proportion and the way things occupy space.

We don't work from a production-line recipe. Each bouquet is assembled by eye and by hand, responding to the particular stems in front of us — their shape, movement, colour and texture.

No two will be precisely alike. We think that's part of their beauty.

Flowers are living, changing things. A little care will help you enjoy them for longer.

On arrival, carefully remove the wrapping and trim approximately 2–3 cm from the bottom of each stem at an angle before placing the flowers into a clean vase filled with fresh water.

Keep your flowers somewhere cool, away from direct sunlight, radiators, draughts and ripening fruit. Change the water regularly, keeping the vase clean, and remove individual flowers or foliage as they naturally fade.

Some flowers may arrive relatively closed or in bud. Allow them a little time — part of the pleasure is watching the composition change as individual flowers open and develop.

Delivery is included in the price of this bouquet.

Each bouquet is individually prepared and hand-tied in our Oakham studio before being carefully packaged for its journey.
