Our Curated Collection of handmade Rugs
A rug has the ability to quietly define a room — bringing together furniture, colour and material while adding warmth, texture and a sense of place.
At fōrm&blōm, we approach rugs as an integral part of an interior rather than a finishing touch. Our collection is chosen for the same qualities we seek throughout our furniture and homeware: natural materials, exceptional craftsmanship and designs with the confidence to endure.
At the heart of our collection are rugs by Kasthall, the Swedish rug maker crafting woven and hand-tufted rugs at its mill in Kinna since 1889. Working predominantly with natural materials including wool and linen, Kasthall brings together generations of textile knowledge with a distinctly contemporary approach to colour, texture and form.
We are particularly drawn to the architectural quality of the collection. Designs range from quiet, textural woven rugs to more expressive hand-tufted compositions, including collaborations with designers and architects such as Ilse Crawford and David Chipperfield.
Many designs can be tailored in size and colour, allowing us to consider a rug in relation to the proportions, furniture and character of an individual room rather than simply selecting from a fixed range.

‘Beauty meets sustainability as Kasthall pioneers recycled wool for this collection with British Architect Icon Sir David Chipperfield’

Poetry is a rug in Arkad-pattern with darker tones shifting to lighter colors woven with chenille in pure wool and linen. Its edgings on both sides are all unique and consist of three wide-colored streaks. The color pattern and the patterns themself are both asymmetrical. This highlights the creativity of its designer Maja Johansson Starander and the genuine craftsmanship it takes to bring such a design to life

A meditation on quiet repetition. Ori, meaning “weave” in Japanese, explores precision through the subtle interaction of colour and pattern. It translates the calm logic of lattice and basketry into a rich, tactile surface. Hand-crafted in pure wool, the woven rug’s tactile structure and meditative rhythm evoke the measured craft of joinery and traditional weaving techniques from across the world. Ori comes in four earthy tones; Ancient Ink, Early Crocus, Honeycomb, and Woodland Bark , each bringing a material sense of depth to the table. Solid, balanced, and generous in weight, Ori finds beauty in repetition, where pulse turns to form.

Finding the right rug
Scale, colour and texture can fundamentally alter how a room feels. The right rug can anchor a group of furniture, soften acoustics, introduce warmth or quietly establish the proportions of a space.
With our background in architecture and interiors, we can help consider a rug as part of the room as a whole — from its relationship with furniture and circulation to material, colour and scale.
Many of the rugs within our collection are available in different sizes, colourways and bespoke dimensions. Visit us at our studio-store in Oakham to explore samples and materials, or contact us to discuss a particular room or project.
